WALENBERG Rail Assessment was founded in 2010. The purpose of the company is to act as an independent evaluator and assessor for railway applications. This takes place in the framework of the European Common Safety Methods. The experience of the founder of WALENBERG Rail Assessment guarantees the high quality and effectiveness of the assessments performed.

Walenberg Rail Assessment is fully accredited and has formal recognition and registration in ERADIS as Railway Assessment Body (AsBo) for all railway scope areas:

Accreditation as Inspection Body I350
WALENBERG Rail Assessment is accredited as Inspection Body with identification code I350 under ISO 17020:2012 and has recieved recognition as Assessment Body under the CSM-REA 402/2013 and amendment 2015/1136. The current accrediatation falls within the normal accreditation cycle and is valid until 01 May 2026.
At the start of inspection activities and AsBo assessments, a temporary accreditation is a normal procedure to enable the accreditation body to closely monitor the inspections that are excecuted. WALENBERG Rail Assessment has reached final accreditation within the allowed time period of one year. In this time period WALENBERG Rail Assessment has started its services as inspection body and as Assessment Body (Railway AsBo). The broad scope of inspection activities will be of great help for your projects and offers a high degree of flexibility.

Walenberg Rail Assessment is the brand name of the Dutch company Walenberg BV, that was originally founded on December 13th, 2013. Since March 27, 2019 it is the operating company under WALENBERG F.T.M. Holding BV.
Walenberg Rail Assessment is on a path to consolidate its position and improve its continuity, For this reason Walenberg Rail Assessment welcomed a second shareholder Spoor 1 BV / SVO Rail. In this new structure Walenberg Rail Assessment will increase its competences in requirement management and compliance management activities, including practical testing.
